Hey! My name is Mandy, and I currently live in Raleigh, NC with my sweet husband and fluffy little dog. Trying everyday how to learn this wife thing, become a master seamstress, read as many books as I can, talk my man into moving out of Raleigh, be the best friend I can be, get fit and eat healthier, find a job that makes me happy and is meaningful, not sweat the small stuff, and live life to the fullest ♥
I hope this simple blog beams light on the great things in my life, and grants me the ability to be more thankful for life and love - I hope to document small instances of joy or sorrow, love and loss, and give a little piece of myself to anyone who is willing to read.

A Goal Met This morning at the gym, I had some kind of break-through in which I finally achieved a major goal that I’ve been wanting for pretty much my whole life. It almost felt like I was using someone else’s legs, which sounds crazy, but it was an awesome feeling and completely made my day.

My good friend Lindsay sent me some pictures of her wedding day in which I did her and her bridesmaids’ make up… …and apparently I like to post my pictures in a little group, side by side… mostly because I haven’t figured out how to post multiple pictures without the slideshow feature, hmph.

Master Bath Remodel The work is finally complete!! It was a grueling process but we are so pleased!! Check out the lovely flowered wall paper, peachy tile, cream colored 1980s cabinetry that was our master bathroom. Now, we are happily using a newly tiled shower and tub, dark chocolate colored vanities with granite on top, and a nice cream colored tile floor. Hooray!

Organic Delimna I’ve heard about and seen the organic sections in the grocery store for what seems like forever now. I’ve heard about many many people switching to organic foods and just thought they were being picky. But when we saw these in the grocery store, Mike and I both had a little panic attack. Organic Grape v. Regular Grape (aka grape on steroids) Organic grapes for us from now on!

WOWWW. Ok. First let me say, I have seen Mean Girls more than once. It was funny but I definitely didn’t care enough about it to remember the names of the characters. This whole time, I thought your name was really Regina, and that you just liked that movie alot, not putting the two together.

UNTIL I see this post. Them I am thinking HOLD UP. I google Mean Girls to see and BAM, I am an idiot. Also, I’m thinking well I mean that movie was ok but are they a little obsessed? Maybe? 

THAT IS WHEN I start reading some of the “most memorable quotes” and after 10 minutes of laughing at my desk I realize, NO WONDER!!!

Regina: But you’re, like, really pretty.
Cady: Thank you.
Regina: So you agree?
Cady: What?
Regina: You think you’re really pretty?
Cady: Oh… I don’t know

I might have to rent this movie again asap.  Love you “Regina” and “Cady”.

Who decided to go to Target one night for a few things.The couple were set to marry very soon.Thus they had their wedding bands in tiny boxes for the big day.On this ordinary night, the couple had an idea.Let’s put on our wedding bands and wear them to Target!We can pretend that we are already married and see what it’s like.They walked around the store hand in hand, rings on their fingers.Not one single person in the store knew, or even noticed.But the couple giggled to themselves because they knew.And it was fun and exciting.The End.   That was me and Mike… about 3 years ago.

Thanksgiving Leftovers
